Hello Colin, nice to meet you.

I've reading your articles, and i must say they are really interesting. It would be nice to hear more from you. Looks like you are doing a really good job with Fiore's works.

I like your articles about medieval dagger, they are clear and easy to understand, really well explained. The photos also help a lot understanding the explanations.

Thank you for sharing the articles and please keep us informed.

Here in the Madrid salle we have some kind of seasonal interest.

Many of us use to attend to a XII century recreation weekend at the end of the summer. We use to fiddle with longswords in the event, but as they aren't "period" we try to train with the sword and shield two or three weeks before the event, outside the regular classes.

As we aren't exactly focused on it, we haven't studied the matter too seriously (f.e. we haven't mr Hand's articles about the matter on Spada 1 and 2) and one of our main sources comes from the guys of Hurstwic http://www.hurstwic.org/history/article ... hnique.htm plus some training from Rorro.

I have just overlooked your articles and already have a question: how easy is to shift grip from the "normal" to the "thumb" grip? With the longsword it's rather easy as you have the two hands holding the sword, but I can't see now how to do it with an arming sword.

Have a nice day

I would like to give seminars in Spain, it is one of my favourite countries.
